Sustain Seattle ICO!

The Seattle chapter of Sierra Club Inner City Outings (ICO) is an all volunteer-run community outreach program providing opportunities for urban youth to explore, enjoy and protect the natural world. Over the past 5 years, we have increased the number of youth we serve by 30%! However, Seattle ICO is funded only through grants and individual donors such as you. In recent years Seattle ICO has received fewer resources than we need to operate for a full year. Therefore, we are stepping up our efforts and seeking out new contributions to replenish our resources and ensure we have the necessary support so we can continue to offer quality outings to our youth.

Seattle ICO only has funds to last through this academic school year and we are in need of additional funding. We are asking you to please help Sustain Seattle ICO and contribute to the positive impact we have on the kids, community, and outdoors.

ICO volunteers work through partnerships with selected underserved elementary, middle, and high schools in the Seattle area. Our youth range in age from 8 to 18, and represent diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Seattle ICO provides all of the food, gear, and transportation, as well as volunteer leaders trained in first-aid, CPR, environmental education and youth leadership.

As an all-volunteer organization, Seattle ICO benefits enormously from your support! Please support ICO by contributing money for future ICO trips! You can learn more about Seattle ICO, view past trip reports and photos on our website at www.seattleico.org
